Gina,
Q:
When you train a bikini girl vs. a figure girl, how does their diet vary in terms of macros? Do your bikini girls consume less protein?
A:
Great question! As far as training and setting up a diet program for bikini vs. figure, there are very similar in terms of structure, foods eaten, but it really depends on where the girl is starting and what her genetic make up is. If a girl is an ectomorph (on the thinner side, naturally) I would keep a very similar diet/training program as a figure girl, as they still need to add muscle for bikini and they are harder gainers so they need the protein and heavier weight training program. If a girl is a mesomorph (carries more muscle genetically and has muscle naturally) I would decrease their proteins and keep them on a more circuit style training program! Typically they eat a very balanced diet with fruits, nuts, some dairy (cottage cheese or yogurt, on occasion), and continue with Ezekiel products and different grains throughout their prep. Basically their diet is similar to a figure girls off season program or balanced living program or similar to a program you may be on when you first start a prep. Again, it is hard to be cut and dry, as everyone is different but for the most part the real difference between figure and bikini is in the more circuit style training and the fact that they can keep in some of the foods we eliminate such as fruits and dairy. They still train and follow a very regimented structured program just a shooting for a different overall look, as an end result! Great question!
