MORNING….
Hope everyone is off and running. It is just crazy that we are in September already! Where did our summer go?? Speaking of summer, It is suppose to heat back up today in So Cal so I am a happy girl! Some people need sugar, some need carbs, I need me some sun!! 😉
Yesterday was busy working all afternoon online and on calls and before I knew it the day was gone! Today, back online to touch base in the forum and see what everyone is up too! 🙂
Looks like today is a lighter cardio/workout day for me. Mid week (wed or thursday) I can feel it in my body that it needs rest and recovery! Especially with the higher intensity workouts I have been doing, they can be tough on you so Rest is KEY. Rest and Recovery it is for me: light cardio & stretching sounds like a plan for me.
You know my “less is more” theory…Well I use this in so much of everyday life. I received an e-mail from a client asking me how to handle a job situation and confrontation she was having with her boss… Not to get too much into it but she wasn’t sure what to say or how to handle the situation. She send me the e-mails sent back and forth and immediately, my responds was less is more!!!
The idea of choosing your words carefully sounds easy enough, but how many times do you end up with your foot in your mouth, maybe saying too much? I reminded her that often no explanation is needed. The less you say the more you say! People often thing that they need to explain their reasons and shall I say, over explain their reasons for why they do what they do. If you are making a decision based on your needs, wishes and desires, that is all that matters. Of course you still have to handle situations appropriately but the less you say and the less explanation, often the better the outcome.
Now, in a different situation, I am sure you can probably recall a situation where someone may have offended you with a rude comment. Rather than responding with multiple words, your best bet is to say less, keep your head up and simply remove yourself from the situation. Always keep things on a positive note and as hard as it may seem, don’t give into the negative energy being placed on you! As conversations unfold and situations occur, just remember often the less you say the more you say and the better off you are.
I know how hard this can be because we are all such social butterflies but there are times when we need to limit our words and understand that fewer words often have more of an impact. As you go on your day today, think before you speak…

Enjoy your Thursday and I’ll be online later this afternoon with updates.
hugs,
G
