Good morning Ladies! Hope you slept well! We are over the hump and ready for the downward momentum into the rest of the week! Thank gosh for sample protein packets that I keep handy because when you run out of your tub of protein and can’t start your day without your typical meal (oats, shake, coffee) what are you to do??!! Lucky me, had a sample protein packet handy so I was a happy camper! Always keep sample protein packets handy. They are great when you happen to run out of your own or when you are on the go and need to quickly grab your packet and throw it in your purse, gym bag or car! 🙂 Better to be prepared!!
Yesterday I received a few texts and e-mails from clients who seem to be just in a funk. All the ladies are ones that are in the heat of their journey and digging deep to grace the stage in 2 weeks from tomorrow! (two weeks ladies!!!) Regardless if you are a competitor or not, we all have those moments where we just feel overly exhausted, taxed and uncomfortable… These are the hardest times but the times that matter most! Times of discomfort and not times of comfort are the moments that test your character! Seems that there are several of you who are in the same boat. Whether you are feeling sick or feeling run down, remember that it is these times that are defining your journey, allowing you to push on and prove to yourself what you are capable of! When you have a moment of weakness or just feel drained, how do you respond to the situation? Do you find yourself questioning yourself, maybe giving in to a craving, maybe even having a minor emotional breakdown??? There are so many ways we respond to the personal pressure or the desire to be our absolute best when we have no more fuel left in the tank!? What do you do and how do you handle it??
Here are a few tips to help you continue to dig deep, regardless of where you are in your journey…
-LET GO OF MIND GAMES AND FOCUS ON PHYSICALLY DOING WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO GET THROUGH EACH DAY, AS BEST YOU CAN, ONE DAY AT A TIME.
-FOCUS ON THE ACCOMPLISHMENT YOU ARE WORKING TOWARDS AND THE INDESCRIBABLE FEELING YOU WILL HAVE, WHEN YOU GET TO THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN.
-REMEMBER WHY IT IS YOU ARE EMBARKING UPON THIS JOURNEY….
-REMEMBER HOW GOOD YOU FEEL, AT THE END OF THE DAY, AND ALL IS SAID AND DONE.
-REFLECT ON EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE, UP TO THIS POINT, AND SOAK IN YOUR CURRENT SUCCESS!!
-TIME TO REFER BACK TO YOUR VISUALIZATION BOARD AND PASTE NEW IMAGES, QUOTES, OR WHATEVER IS MOTIVATING AND INSPIRING YOU AT THE CURRENT MOMENT!
-IF YOU HAVE A DATE YOU ARE SHOOTING FOR OR AN EVENT, START YOUR COUNTDOWN! PUT IT IN FRONT OF YOU AND MARK OFF EACH DAY AS IT COMES…
-START THINKING ABOUT YOUR NEXT JOURNEY. START TO FORMULATE YOUR NEXT PLAN OF ATTACK SO YOU HAVE A NEW DIRECTION AND A NEW PLACE TO DIRECT YOUR FOCUS.
-BE SURE YOU ARE SURROUNDING YOURSELF AROUND ONLY POSITIVE PEOPLE!!! THIS IS A CRUCIAL TIME IN YOUR JOURNEY WHERE, EVEN MORE SO, POSITIVITY IS ESSENTIAL TO MAKING IT TO THE TOP OF YOUR MOUNTAIN!!
-REFRESH YOUR TRAIN OF THOUGHT! IF YOU ARE STARTING TO FEEL RUN DOWN AND FIND YOURSELF BEING NEGATIVE WITH YOUR THOUGHTS, FILL YOUR GLASS BACK UP AND REFRESH YOUR THOUGHTS! ONLY ALLOW POSITIVITY TO ENTER YOUR MIND AND ANYTHING ELSE NEEDS TO BE DELETED, IMMEDIATELY!!
-VISUALIZE YOUR OUTCOMES, NOT JUST SHORT TERM BUT LONG TERM OUTCOMES FROM EMBARKING UPON YOUR JOURNEY!!!
-ENJOY THE PROCESS. REGARDLESS OF WHERE YOU ARE, AT THE END OF THE DAY, YOU HAVE TO BE GRATEFUL AND SO PROUD OF THIS AMAZING LIFE CHANGING PROCESS AND LIFESTYLE! ENJOY THE DISCIPLINE, DEDICATION, HARD WORK, EFFORTS AND EVERYTHING YOU HAVE PUT FORTH TO BE YOUR ABSOLUTE BEST!
-PLAN A WAY TO TREAT YOURSELF FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK?? SET UP A SPA TREATMENT OR A NICE DINNER WITH YOUR LOVED ONE. SET UP SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO AND FOCUS ON HOW MUCH BETTER THAT EVENT WILL BE, ONCE YOU HAVE DUG A LITTLE BIT DEEPER TO GET THERE!
When you feel drained, taxed and just out of gas, this is where the physical component is put aside and the mental side of the journey kicks in! Time to continue exercising the body but really focusing on utilizing your power to exercise your mind! As you reach the top of your mountain it is all mental strength to pick up your feet and take it one step at a time until you reach the top! Mental strength will get you there!!
Keep up all your hard work, Ladies! Regardless where you are in your journey or where on your mountain you are… We are all in this together and are right there with you! DIG DEEP and power on….
