Good Morning! I want to wish everyone a happy 4th! I am taking the day as a holiday and will be back online tomorrow with updates and to check in in the Forum. Trainer Jess begins her Journey tomorrow… This is going to be a fun experience for everyone to watch. We are really excited to present this to you. I am really confident in how this amazing journey will unfold not only for Jess, physically but mentally and emotionally… priceless!
Have an amazing day and time with family and loved ones, as the US celebrates our Freedom!
I want to give you something to think about today and as we begin a new week…
We are striving to reach our own mountain tops, accomplishing mini goals to get up to the top but what about those things that are standing in our way! Are there people or “things” always standing in your way, keeping you from accomplishing your goals? If someone was constantly loading your pack with bricks, as you were trekking along, climbing with all your might, wouldn’t that make the journey so much harder… Now, who is loading your pack with bricks? Is it others or is it yourself? If you are not careful you can be putting your own load in your pack, causing your climb to be harder than it needs to be.
When you think of who and what is standing in the way of your dreams, it’s easy to forget your own responsibility. Even the best of us can be guilty of unknowingly hurting our own progress. Procrastination, lateness, being disorganized, pessimism, not being honest with yourself, severe self-criticism, downplaying achievements, focusing only on weaknesses while ignoring strengths, keeping goals a secret, demanding perfection, giving up after a small setback–these are all bricks that are only adding unnecessary weight to our packs! Let’s take time to lighten up our loads, only bringing with us the essential tools that will carry us to the top! All you need is belief in yourself, the right attitude, and a promise to keep going no matter what will make a world of difference. — hey all those things don’t weigh an oz. The only thing that should be literally weighing you down is your water and meals, (can’t forget those!!)
Lighten up your load, bring the essentials and don’t allow those unnecessary bricks to slow you down…
“Something we were withholding made us weak, until we found it was ourselves.”~Robert Frost
