We have been asking a lot of questions regarding organic foods and what is behind them… We’ll there is no much info who knows what to believe and not believe and whether we should spend the extra money on those products.  My consensus is that we should focus more on eating fresh non manufactured foods and rather than focusing on organic/non organic, focus on less processed foods.  It was only about 60 or so years ago that our food was actually grown. Now, the majority of our food is manufactured. This dramatically changes the nutritional content of our food.  Food manufacturing does not improve food, it simply extends the food’s shelf life. Manufactured food, also known as processed food, significantly reduces the nutritional content of foods. Processed food also contains additives that negatively impact the nutritional quality of the food.  Processed food contributes to malnutrition. In the US we are malnourished due to the overconsumption of low quality food. The problem is that we tend to consume too much fat and sugar, and not enough food rich in vitamins and minerals.  We also tend to consume too many products that have additives and ingredients that decrease calories, carbs, sugars and fats but increase chemicals!!
Rather than focusing on organic or non organic foods, we need to focus on Real Whole Healthy Fresh Wholesome foods!!!  That means eating lots of fruits and vegetables, high quality meats, and whole grains.
If nature made it, eat it. If man made it, don’t eat it!  OR If you look at the ingredients and can not pronounce a word, don’t buy it! Would your grandmother purchase it for her homemade cooking??? If the answer is NO, don’t buy it!
