Good Morning all!! wow, what a busy week I have had and so much to catch you all up on. First of all, I want to thank each of you for being active in my site and for posing!! So happy to continue building this fitness network! You are all so amazing and together we are building a foundation for your life long success and balanced life!
I had a blast with my girl friend and it was so much fun to catch up with her and have some needed one on one girl time. It is so important to have those fun moments and to catch up on old time. girls just wanna have some fun here and there, right! 🙂 It is a great feeling to think that those friends I have had for so long are still in my life. What is interesting is so many of my friends don’t know me and my career in figure and in the industry yet that is such a huge part of my life. I am sure you all can relate! My girl friend and I (just like several of my other hometown girl friends) have been in my life for as long as I can remember but after going away to college, our relationships changed to a distant type relationship and that is where my career took off and I developed more into who I am today. This part of my life, as much as they know me, they are not familiar with. It is interesting that they know you so well but yet don’t know that part of your life.
It is great to have those people in your life that know you for YOU and for what you were from childhood but at the same time it is hard when they don’t quite get where you are or what you have done. You know you can only really get it if you are there seeing it happen.
I am still the same Gina but at the same time have changed so much in the past 6 years. A lot of this is due to simply growing up but also from competing and how it has changed my life.
My hometown girlfriends all know me for how I grew up and the healthy Gina I have always been but they don’t know the competition side of me which is a huge part of who I am.
There is so much to talk about on this subject and I will continue to write more… just want to start to fill you in because having my girlfriend here was a huge eye opener in so many ways!!
I know you all will understand!
