As the weekends approach, some people get excited while others have a slight bit of fear of losing structure. We all work well with structure and a set plan, don’t we!? If you are someone who has amazing structure, during the week, and feel as if the weekends detour you from your structure, just as you prepare yourself for your week, prepare yourself for your weekends! What is your weekend going to look like? Be sure you designate time for your workouts and meal preparation. During the week, you are good about waking up, exercising, getting to work, getting all your pre made meals in, getting to bed at a decent hour… why loose that structure over the weekends? Maybe you decide to sleep a little longer or shift your workout time, do cardio outdoors vs in the gym, spend a little more time preparing each meal and getting creative… That is great! The weekends offer us the ability to be a little more flexible and that is wonderful, just be sure that you stay on track. You have been so great during the week, don’t allow the weekends to take you off your path, having the mindset that you will be “back on, on Monday”. With the proper tools and preparation, there is no reason to fear the weekends. Embrace them with the ability to be a little more flexible.
