For a few people who have come off shows or those that have one coming up or even this weekend, Claudine, I wanted to mention a few pointers for after the show along with sharing an article that was posted, as a reminder for aftermath…
G’s 10 tips for coming off the show prep
1-Enjoy a nice meal after the show but start the next day back on eating as you did about 6 weeks out or so, to allow your body to ease off the strict strict eating, especially as strict as it gets the last few weeks.
2-Even after the following week, remember your healthy choices, recipes and that this is a lifestyle!
3-I suggest you continue to follow a carb cycled program as we have discussed, continuing to rotate your nutrient ratios to keep your metabolism up and lean.
4-Continue with cardio but not as much as you were doing. I suggest cutting your cardio in 1/2 and keeping that in everyday for the week after the show until you go to a more realistic cardio routine of 4-5 days of 30-45 minutes.
5-Drink lots of water. Especially if you depleted your water, for the next few days after the show, drink plenty of water to replenish!
6-Take some time to think of a game plan for your next season and new goals you are going to focus on.
7-Continue with your training but instead of being so strict with your program, have fun. Maybe go out doors or do something new and exciting! You don’t have to do all your training/cardio in the gym!
8-Take the time to thank people or write cards for those that have been there for you along the way!! You need to appreciate those that support you and have been there with and for you!
9-Take some YOU time and sit back to reflect on everything you accomplished and how amazing your journey was!! Pat yourself on the back!!!
10-Take the time to try new and exciting healthy recipes!! You know there are tons to try from the site!!! Have fun with your cooking and get creative!
Below is the article I posted in the past:
Post Contest, The Aftermath…
I will be checking back on the forum later but will be in and out all day. Have a fabulous day everyone!!
