Good Morning!!! It is the middle of the week and we have hit the hump. It is all downhill from here and another accomplished week is underway!
PEOPLE, people can be hard to deal with. It is human nature that we all have our own opinions, ideas, perspectives, experiences, and ideals! How you grew up, directly affects your outlook on situations, how you respond and how you handle situations that are brought in front of you. Some people you mesh with better than others. You know those people you meet and you just feel like you have known each other for years! Then there are those you meet and the conversation just doesn’t flow or for some reason there isn’t that same degree of comfort. It is normal that different people affect us differently. Now you throw a regimented fitness program into our lives and your communication and encounter with people immediately shifts. Some are really supportive, some think you are crazy, most don’t quite understand, and one thing for sure…. everyone has their own opinions.
Many of you have experienced different situations, I am sure. If you haven’t yet, they are on their way. Whether you are going out to eat with some friends or just siting at your desk enjoying your healthy meal, it is only a matter of time that someone will catch on to your healthy lifestyle and start to question you. How do you?…. why do you?….. what do you?…. etc. Most people are simply interested and want to learn. Most people are intrigued by your self discipline and ability to commit to such a beautiful healthy lifestyle. Then there are those that simply may come across harsh and you may take it as an attack on YOU. Remember that everyone has their own story and their “attack” is nothing to take personal, yet remember it is something that they are dealing with and it coming across as an attack on you. Yes, some people don’t quite understand this lifestyle but more than that, several people may trying to live the life you are leading and don’t have the tools or self discipline. I want you to remember that as you life this healthy lifestyle, you will encounter different types of people and different types of circumstances. I hope for the most part they are positive experiences but if you happen to fun into a Debbie downer, don’t get frustrated, angry and please don’t take things personally.

Try looking at the circumstance from the other person’s point of view. No person’s personality can be summed up entirely by their negative trait or action. Know your role in people’s lives and continue to be positive and lead by example. You may not realize it but your healthy actions are reflecting others and without you physically doing anything, others are learning from you and you are changing lives!
Remember not to take things personally, you really have to put yourself in someone else’s shoes and understand that everyone has their story!
Do what you do! Live each day healthfully and happy and in turn you are positively influencing others!
Happy Wednesday!
